Wicklow Sailing Club
Home of the Round Ireland Yacht Race, Wicklow Sailing Club is located on the South Quay in Wicklow town’s picturesque harbour. The club has over 250 members and caters for large numbers of visitors, with adequate berthing facilities available alongside the quay. Showers and toilet facilities are available for visitors and the bar is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during the summer months. Wicklow Sailing Club offers ISA training for children during the summer months, (July and August). There is Dinghy racing on every Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon. These races are generally quite small and fun filled. It is run by a group of sailing enthusiasts from the club alongside a number of the trained sailing instructors from the club. The first gun is at 7.30 on a Thursday evening and 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. All members are welcome to the racing and visitors can come along too if they have a boat. Wicklow Sailing Club also has a very active cruising section. There are many cruisers owed by members and are kept on the moorings in the harbour. Cruiser racing is on every Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon.
